Checking the Quality of CD Duplication

When the process of duplication was introduced in the market, people thought that the quality was low and the CDs did not look as good as the replicated ones. That is not true of duplicated CDs any longer. Duplicated CDs are now generally of standard quality.

However, you might come across a difference in CD Duplication prices. Is this difference in CD Duplication prices due to variances in the quality offered by companies? Here are a few tips to help you tell the quality of the products offered by companies just by examining their CD Duplication prices.

An unprofessional looking CD creates a negative impression of your product in the minds of your customers. If the CD Duplication prices are very low, make sure the graphic design provided by the company matches industry standards. The design should be at least of a quality that is offered by similar products in the market. So check if the CD Duplication company is offering you a lower price by compromising on the quality of the graphics.

Find out what kind of packaging you are being offered. Paper sleeves work out cheaper than jewel cases but don't provide much protection. Make sure you are not being provided with low CD Duplication prices at the cost of low grade packaging. Jewel cases are the minimum that you should be getting as packaging.

Check if the company is providing printing quality of at least 300dpi digitally printed in CMYK colour on industry standard paper. You may be getting cheap prices but are you getting quality paper inserts and inlay cards for that price? Grainy or cheap looking paper parts can make your CD look unappealing and shabby.

Low CD Duplication prices may also be possible because the supplier is giving you poor quality CDR media. There's no point going 'cheap' when you need quality work. Check that the media is going to be duplicated at slow so that you get the best finished product possible.

Ask the supplier for samples to make sure you are satisfied with the quality of the disc printing. In the long run low CD Duplication prices can harm your business if the printing on the face of the CD looks unprofessional. The duplicating company should be providing at least a one or two color silkscreen print or even thermal printing.

The prices should include a warranty to safeguard your purchase. Shop around before you settle on one company. Compare quotes, look at their terms of business and product warranties so that you can choose the company that will give you the best buy in terms of quality, delivery, price, customer service and reliability. Use the prices to guide you about your choice of supplier.
